Inspiration

We have been looking at a number of artists for inspiration.  The theme is handmade. Our attention was drawn to the work of several designers.

Julien Vallee

His paper sets have inspired us on how we can use paper to craft typography and create a visually exciting range of tactile experiments. 

Bomboland

Bomboland aka, Maurizio Santucci, who is based in Italy is a freelance illustrator and graphic designer who works on creating handmade paper designs.  These are examples of his poster work for advertising campaigns. 

Chrissie Macdonald

Illustrator and designer Chrissie Macdonald created images using paper models and sculptural sets, working with photography to create atmospheric pieces that often play with reality and scale. 

As a co-founder and member of Peepshow Collective she works individually on her own commissions for clients including Orange, Creative Review, Wallpaper etc as well as collaboratively with other members on illustration, animation, and installation projects for the Victoria and Albert Museum and Nike to name a few.
