T-shirts

To keep ourselves looking professional, and also to identify ourselves as a team on the day of the event, we decided to make some event t-shirts.
We decided to use yellow, as this seems to be a consistent colour that we find ourselves working with.
The information that the t-shirt will contain, will the be the website address, and the title 'Unplug'.

The T-shirts themselves were purchased at a £1 each, and for the 3girls are vest tops, while for the guy is a t-shirt.
We have decided to make them ourselves using image transfer paper - this not only keeps costs low, but further enhances our 'handmade' ethos.

These are some of the designs that we came up with. Our favourite designs so far are 2, and 5.

Personal Invites

The group decided that it would be a personal touch if we made some invites for local designers instead of just emailing them.  We thought that a pop up invite, made of card would be much more aesthetically pleasing, and keep up with the handmade craft aspect.  It also sets some level of expectation, and creates an understanding of what the event is about.
Here is a mock-up that I made of the invite.

Hand rendered type

Remembering that the idea behind this project, and exhibition is handmade qualities, we decided that it would be best if we created a hand rendered type that we can use to put onto posters and invitations etc.
We looked at some artists who make hand created typefaces like Mike Perry.  These are just some that we looked at:

This is the type that we came up with:

Tori's models 3

The models are really coming together now! Tori has made a lovely little church and a run down graveyard for the rural side of the landscape, along with a campsite.

Tori's models 2

Tori' models are becoming more and more interesting!  Today at home she made some sheep, a scarecrow and a log fire and sent me the photos.

Rockpaperscissor business cards

We decided it would be more professional to create a business card for the company 'rockpaperscissor design' as a platform to advertise ourselves with.  These are some of the mock up versions that Gary O'Connor designed up on Illustrator.

As nice as these lovely designs are, these are the final ones that as a group we selected.

Just lovely =]

Tori's models

Tori has been very busy making tiny farmland paper sculptures!  These are some photos that she took today of her work in progress!  I love the ducks =]
